Edward Perraud offers you a trio concert at the conservatory

On January 24, 2025, don't miss the concert by Edward Perraud in trio at the auditorium of the Charleville-Mézières Conservatory.

We find with real pleasure Edward Perraud, drummer, percussionist, composer, improviser and researcher.

Three years after crediting us with his first trio album with Paul Lay and Bruno Chevillon, he returns to us today, still in trio with pianist Bruno Angelini and double bassist Arnault Cuisinier

The formula seems classic but we are far from music we have already heard.

The trio is in osmosis and manages to find the point of balance by mixing melancholy, reverie and energy to offer us a series of pieces which very quickly transport us to another dimension, outside of time.

And such is the title given to this opus of incredible originality both in its energy and its restraint, in a sort of musical journey where time no longer has too much importance.

Here we find the touch of a musician with a strong musical eclecticism allowing him both to find magnificent melodies and to offer his acolytes the necessary and sufficient space to express themselves.

No need to beat around the bush, Edward Perraud's latest is superb.

Certainly, we expected no less from a musician who systematically offers brilliant music.

As evidenced by, if necessary and among many other projects, his participation in Das Kapital with Hasse Poulsen and Daniel Erdmann. Citizen Jazz
