Screening and discovery of the game of go
The Metropolis cinema Charleville-Mézières will host an event dedicated to the game of go Wednesday June 11, 2025 and Friday June 13, in partnership with Go in the Ardennes.
On this occasion, the Japanese film The Go player, directed by Kazuya Shiraishi, will be screened in French, preceded by an immersive presentation around the famous Asian strategy game.
An immersion in the world of Go
On June 11, the Go in the Ardennes club will present the game of go to you at 4 p.m. followed by a screening of the film The Go player will start at 5 p.m.. This feature film 2:09 a.m. explores human and symbolic tensions through the prism of Go, mixing drama, introspection and Japanese aesthetics.
A second session is planned for Friday June 13, the film will be screened at 8 p.m., this time in the original subtitled version, also preceded by a presentation at 7 p.m..
