A Steampunk Escape Game in VR

Our colleagues from BeGeek.fr had the opportunity to test this new VR Escape Game created by Myoken :

We start with the equipment : on the back : MSI VR One, HTC Vive on the head and controllers in hand. The game master places us in teams of 2 in 2 rooms. The game starts, we find ourselves in the submarine, without the possibility of communicating with our friends in the other room. Communications having been cut, this is the first step to take. Once the power is restored, we enjoy the rather incredible scenery of this submarine. The steampunk universe is magnificently represented and it’s a shame not to be able to touch everything (at the same level as that of Disneyland Paris)...

In short, we move forward and go through the different puzzles. If the first ones are easy and do not necessarily require cooperation, the rest will require exchanging information and carrying out actions for the other team. Indeed, even if the 4 of us can see each other in the same room, we cannot join each other. This gave some very amusing moments, like miming symbols with the controllers that we wouldn't be able to describe correctly...

On our arm, we find the time we have left and the 40 minutes passed very, very quickly ! So good in fact, that we barely had 4 minutes left when we won. This race against time to kill the Kraken was tough ! The game master also had fun stressing us out with the remaining time...

The game is over, we take off the headset and we are back at the surface… My team loved it and the difficulty was very good (the game is intended for ages 11 and up).
