The Sound Plains 2026: a 1st edition and an already strong identity

A first edition of Plaines Sonores already promising

Less than two months before their launch, The Sound Plains 2026 are already establishing themselves as an important cultural event at the start of summer in the Ardennes.

For this 1st edition, the festival wishes to offer a unique musical experience, anchored in an assertive rural territory, while bringing together artists capable of attracting a large and curious audience.

A program designed to reflect the current scene

The festival unveils a line-up of thirteen artists spread over two evenings, June 5 and 6, 2026, in the heart of a ten-hectare wheat field in Sault-Saint-Remy.
An atypical configuration which constitutes the signature of the event.
Les Plaines Sonores have unveiled their full program and highlight a program that crosses electro, rap, rock and emerging aesthetics.

Friday evening will be dominated by Little Cookie, a key figure in French electro.
Revealed at a very young age, he was able to impose an atmospheric and melancholy sound identity, supported by live performances recognized at major European festivals.
His arrival marks a rise in power for an event that is still young but already ambitious.

On Saturday, it's Shayne, winner of season 4 of New School, who will take the lead.
His incisive style and stage energy should offer an intense closing, faithful to the spirit of a rapidly changing rap scene.

Around these two names, the festival highlights a large number of local artists, confirming its desire to promote talents from the Ardennes and the Grand Est: Youpi Sunday, Deinos MC, Glow Up, Emma Capely, Euskoro, San-Nom, Mikelyne, Nathan Zahef and even DJ HEB.

An immersive experience in the heart of the Ardennes

The uniqueness of festival is based on its location.
The event takes place in a field of living wheat, transformed into a space for circulation and concerts.

This is an assumed choice on the part of the organizers:
“The scenes emerge from the Ardennes landscape, the sounds cross the plain”.
This immersion in an agricultural environment is not a simple setting.
Elle s’inscrit dans une démarche portée by l’association Art’Dennes Culture, qui privilégie les circuits courts, mobilise les artisans locaux et reverse 80% des bénéfices de la restauration à la préservation du patrimoine du village.

This territorial dimension, already visible on the official website of the festival, helps to distinguish The Sound Plains 2026 in an events landscape often dominated by large urban infrastructures.

A young but already structuring festival with a strong identity

The Sound Plains 2026 seem to have found their identity: a demanding but accessible program, a strong territorial anchor, and a natural scenography which transforms a wheat field into an ephemeral cultural space.
The event is part of a regional dynamic where music becomes a vector for promoting heritage and rurality.

With two recognized headliners and a selection of local artists on the rise, the 2026 edition promises to be a key moment for the festival, which confirms its ambition to establish itself permanently in the French musical landscape.
